Elf Empire[]

The Elf Empire isn't prominently featured in The Land of Stories, though it is mentioned a bit. In the second series named the Tale of Magic, we see a little more about the Elf Empire in the book, 'Tale of Sorcery'.

In the history of the Elf Empire, King Elvin, one of the oldest kings, had three children, Prince Eltron, Price Erik and Princess Elvina. King Elvin believes all his children incapable and unworthy of having his kingdom. Eltron dies in the mission to find the Book of Sorcery, mainly due to the reason of proving his worth to his father. Prince Erik leaves with Xanthous Hayfield, to rule The Demon Kingdom, and Princess Elvina is the last one left. The throne went to Princess Elvina, as we see her return in the Land of Stories as the Empress.

The Northern Kingdom[]

Main article: Northern Kingdom

The Northern Kingdom is one of the main kingdoms in The Land of Stories. It is also the largest kingdom in the map. The Northern Kingdom has gone through several perils in the history of the Fairy Tale World. The largest kingdom in the Land of Stories, and one of the coldest, is situated in the far north. This kingdom is ruled by Queen Snow White and her husband King Chandler Charming. It used to be larger until the villages in the south revolted during the C.R.A.W.L Revolution and the Northern Kingdom was partitioned; the Red Riding Hood Kingdom was founded and walled off.

The Eastern Kingdom[]

Main article: Eastern Kingdom

The Eastern Kingdom is the third largest kingdom in The Land of Stories. It is also known as the Sleeping Kingdom. It is ruled by Sleeping Beauty and Her husband Chase Charming. The third largest kingdom, stretched along the east. The kingdom used to be known as the Eastern Kingdom, but it was renamed 'the Sleeping Kingdom' after the entire kingdom fell into a deep sleep due to the Sleeping Curse.

The kingdom was ruled by Queen Sleeping Beauty and her husband King Chase Charming. When Alex and Conner first laid eyes on the kingdom in The Wishing Spell, it was in poor shape and its inhabitants had trouble keeping awake. In The Enchantress Returns, the kingdom has recovered from the curse and is again renamed the Eastern Kingdom.

The kingdom has a history of "spindle-related" misfortune due to Ezmia, an evil enchantress. She has held a grudge against the royal family of the Eastern Kingdom for decades, first cursing the old King for not returning her feelings and falling in love with a spinner girl instead of with her, then cursing his son so he would only fall in love with a woman who could spin gold out of hay, and finally, cursing his granddaughter so she would die when she pricked herself on a spinning wheel. This curse was weakened by The Fairy Godmother, turning it into the Sleeping Curse instead.

In A Tale of Magic, the Eastern Kingdom existed nearly as big as during The Land of Stories. The ruler was Queen Endustria. For being a witch or a warlock, you got hung on the gallows. At the end of A Tale of Magic... magic was legalized.

In A Tale of Sorcery, Queen Endustria is seen to be actually the Immortal Queen, Queen Immortalia who acquires the Book of Sorcery and frees the demons.
